The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA ) is responsible for the implementation of the Financial Market Supervision Act (FINMA Act) and the financial market law. As an independent supervisory authority FINMA is committed to the protection of creditors, investors and policy holders as well as to the functioning of financial markets.

Transliq works as commissioner of FINMA for investigations of licensed financial intermediaries or for activity without required license. She acts as agent for investigative proceedings and as a liquidator in bankruptcy proceedings opened by FINMA.
